Title: Shark Mermaid
Name: Jérôme COLLOMBIER
Country: France
Software: After Effects, Maya, mental ray, Photoshop, ZBrush

Hi everybody, I've tried to make a mix between a man and a shark, like a mermaid.

The base mesh was done in Maya and then I've used Zbrush adding some details and photoshop and after effects fr postwork.
Rendering with Mental Ray.

Hope you like it

Hmm, seems to be a nice model, but can`t see too many details beacause of the DoF. Try to tune it down a bit.

I undertsand what you say, it's difficult to insert the model in a underwater environment.

This is the basemesh in Maya with the Maya render (Mental Ray)

it's difficult to insert the model in a underwater environment.

Adding some depth layered fog and volume light may help with that :)
