Hi all, my problem is this. I have an animated character in maya that I would like to render in vue. I've done some research and found that 3ds Max can export pre-animated meshes to Vue using the Max to Vue Exporter plugin. I used a geometry cache to bake the animation in Maya, exported as a .FBX, opened that in Max & exported out to a .VOB. Problem is that when I open the file in Vue, none of my cached animation is there. Any idea of how to pull this off? I'm on quite a tight deadline, so any help is very much appreciated and very helpful. Thanks so much & Happy Holidays!

I feel your pain, I have been told that there is a converter included with Vue when you get it either on your CD or with your Download however I have not been able to find it. Also I kno conclusively that there are no 3rd party softwares or plug-ins that can export / convert, you can try exporting your model in I suppose a t-pose or whatever and exporting a bvh or other supported motion for view which then you can apply once imported, hope that helped, please inform me how you do!

generally .obj works well

also you could import it into POSER if you have that and then importing that .pz3 file into Vue which it works well with
