View Full Version : Cel Shading
snickrep 06-21-2003, 04:35 AM How to I cel shade a object in lightwave? I love the cel shading in cinema 4D and have heard of a cel feature in lW, but can't seem to find out how to do it.

Well, if you want to use the default celshader, it's a surface shader in your surface properties panel. To turn on the ink outlines, that part is in Layout, under object properties-> Edges. I'd recommend using the Unreal cel shader, a free plug in you can find at www.flay.com. It's much more powerful and flexible than the default shader. I've written a tut on it here: http://www.lwg3d.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8984
Hopefully that will get you up and running!

Go to the texture interface and select the shaders tab (basic/advanced/environment/shaders). Click on the Add Shader pop up and select Super Cel Shader v 2.15.. or 3rd party if you have it.
Should do the trick.
