Title: Knights of the sun
Name: Tomasz Jedruszek
Country: Poland
Software: Photoshop

another crowdy illustration for FFG

I just love it when receiveing new game art descriptions ,there is only 10 illustrations to be done but most of them are like " a HUGE army of mounted knights ..." , " LARGE party of footsoldiers chargeing..." or " epic battle ,THOUSANDS of men fighting their lives" ... ehh I wish I could have one set of characters or items for once , like " ONE man standing in the room " or " piece of glass on the table" ...

just kidding - I love those massive artworks ,far more than "Items" or "locations" as a matter of fact they were my regular assiments when I was starting at FFG couple years ago . It is just funny every time I imagine how they deal with art assigments in FFG art department -"what you got there?- A battle ? -o yeah give it to that polish dude ,he can handle" or " A huge cavalry wing ,huh? - Couldn't that be done but this Tomek-guy? - I belive he has few battles already- then a few hundreds of knights more wouldn't make any differece to him, right ?-yeah ,right :) "
I hope they will forgive me these little blasemy here, in fact I know how those assiments looks like from FFG art director directly ,so maybe I am little exaggerating but just a little.

hold on ,a few more coming..

I loved your classical approach!

I agree with your meditations... when someone finds you good at something they are thinking you are good only for that stuff :argh: . At the end they are right, because they order that again and again and one became more and more skillfull. That happened to me when they constantly assigned me for an biology and histoty school book illustrations! At the end i started to reject such job, and waited a good opportunity for nice children fantasy book! (Of course that can be done if you have funds to live, and reject good paid but "dull" jobs...
Keep up!

shiny armors and and banners always make a cool image. I could use some briefs like that ;)

make sure you don't get flagged as the "huge epic battle guy" or you'll never draw a portrait again :D

very well done but I think horses are too small. horses of armored knights were usally quite tall.

cheers,
Matthias
