View Full Version : Displacement Map Problem

Hi everyone,

I m a mac user. I created a model with Maya 8, did its UV layout perfectly before exporting it into ZBrush 3.12 for sculpting. When I was done with the sculpt & tried to do a displacement map of the model before exporting it back to Maya, its UVs were totally mashed up beyond recognition. What happen? Please help. Thanks.

I'm not sure exactly what is causing your UV problem, however you may want to look at this thread over at the Pixologic forums:

There is a confirmed issue with the Mac version of ZBrush that causes it to generate unworkable displacement maps. Someone, allegedly, is working on it...
