Here is a sketch of a kobold stormtrooper equiped with noize-thrower. (This is a steam-based musical instrument which uses high-velocity preasure to throw at the enemy the most horrific noizes)., It may cause deafness, disorientation, and if used on its maximum capacity the noise-thrower could wipe out memories or even to skin alive its prey due to inhuman frequencies.

Technically examined the armor has an integrated multichannel audio system powered by a boiler attached to the back. The main advantage of the 7.1 S.S.S. analog crusader tech is in the possibility to treat up to seven enemies in the same time by tearing apart their spatial sound perceptions.

These drawings are awesome! They kind of remind me of the warcraft artwork in terms of detail. The idea sounds funny too, especially the bag piper.

And Finally, I found the perfect sound which fits the noise-stomper?s subwoofer system also known as (CRUCIFIER). >>> http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ISbdEJZet7k <<<

Those are a few kobold face concepts. The kobolds have an interesting anatomical specificity - They all have similar bodies, but completely different heads from each other. This is due to their goddess who has a thousand of different personalities. They say a kobold can posses only a single one of them. However, those who were born with multiple faces are considered to be heretics, and consequently used as solid fuel for the boilers.

This is the steam goddess, the living icon which wields the scepter over the kobolds, her beloved evil minions. They call her the mother of all boilers, because she is the one who gives birth to those hellish steam machines. However, her body, the rotting faces and even the bizarre icon itself are not vital for her existence. The sages believe that there is something hidden within the crown, a supreme power, and perhaps her, or his real face - the Father, also known as the Grey Cardinal. ..."Destroy the symbol of her despotism (the crown), and she shall be thrown into oblivion"...

Vasil, you're a natural. Love the wild baroque composition: El Greco meets Rubens, with a touch of Dali. Fantastic.
Good luck. Love to see what a worked up piece would be like from such a spontaneous painter.

I was thinking a long time on the subject matter, and to be honest I came up with the idea that the steam punk aesthetic should not be associated only with the Victorian era and all of those bizarre steam machines of the same period. It could be everything as long as it is steam powered. However, as always I am trying to go crazy by twisting the whole idea through my mind prism. Thus, I have my own interpretation of the setting. :)

Ok, I still have many things to finish, so it is still in WIP . However, I always think about some musical background which fits the scene. It simply helps me to get a better understanding of the dramatic aspect within the illustration, to hear their screams, to smell their fear, but mostly to be involved in the action. And here are the songs >>> http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=yXTqR8yUm8I <<< or maybe this one >>> http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=oY29xh1840M <<< enjoy
