I bet you are all wondering what a Newton's Cradle is, well check out the link and tell me what you think.

PS. If you haven't already check out my main site, a few other renders and I just recently added a 3D Hair Tutorial, for max but the technique maybe useful for other apps too.

nice the HDRI makes it look fake, ie its not reflecting whats acctually there.

gona animate it? (looping gif...)

thanks guys, yeah it looks a bit too CGish, I need to tone things down, dirty them up, etc.

Yes, glass, which I do plan to animate, but was thinking more of a shatter then a crack :)

Well I have made a small update, not sure if its really any better, but here goes:

Hmmm... I don't know about the renders, they're nice but are the ropey bits that fat?. Something seems amiss.

Is the Newton thing something to do with why one of the orbs is glass? (read your post... oh)

hay GreenGiant, yeah, I am starting to think that the wires are a bit too fat, will have to slim them down a bit.
