Hi,

Just a quick question...

Do you think that they will implement fragments in the next version of PF, or with Max 6?

Thanks in advance!

what do you mean with fragments ?

Well,

With fragments I mean the fragmentation that can be found in Thinking Particles, Particle Studio etc. To my knowledge Particle flow does NOT support fragmentation of objects. It can however acces P-Array parameters via an scripted operator, but there's not a fragmentation -operator (or something like it) within particle flow.

Is this less vague?

actually, where i had a clue before, it's TOTALLY gone now hehe

seriously tho, I suppose you mean using particle flow to break stuff of objects or break objects up in pieces altogether ?

Well, cant be more specific, hehe

But jeah, to my knowledge fragmentation is the proces of breaking a mesh into pieces via particles. And disassemble or assemble, whatever you want... It would be nice if they would implement a way to fragment an object based on: lights, map grayscale, node's etc. (the way thinking particles does). And b.t.w. I doubt the merit you get from an operator that only handles complete fragmentation since the p-array already incorporates this functionality pretty well...
