I hate to say this but the violence, profanity and gore in this short is not what you want to be sending out to potential employers. Your content is very questionable and it's going to hurt your chances in finding work.

wow...um, not sure exactly how to go about saying this. I would suggest some different content for a demo reel that you are trying to get a job with. As a personal project, it's okay.

The animation of the baby on the escalator...something looks odd to me, like he would be falling faster then the speed at which the escalator goes up.
You may not be getting alot of response mainly because of the content.

Okay, I thought the animation was pretty good, and some of those scenes were damn funny. But, I agree with the speed of the baby falling down the escalator. It seemed just a little too slow. Other than that, it had me on the edge of my seat due to the pace of the reel. I must say, you definitely kept my attention, and made me laugh which is good. I simply loved the baby falling to the ground and SPLAT! I know, its mean, but man, that was not expected LOL

Animation is looking nice! Idea is unique and I thought it was pretty funny. The reviews add a nice feel to it.

I would really like to see it rendered with with more ranges of lighting though!

You're studying man, do whatever YOU would like to see cause once you're out in the field you wont have as much time for your own ideas.

Great work ZOrynx, the shock factor is great. I love your camera work, and you've done so much work.

The biggest critique I would have is probably just the awkardness of your dirk model - Nothing you could have realistically done anything about, given the time we had to work on the projects.

As for the subject matter, we're all grownups here, this sure isn't anything we haven't all seen before in way more graphic detail. It might turn some poeple off, but there is definately a market for this kind of thing. Think Postal.

Granted the guys at pixar probably wont be calling you, but I get the sense you would probably tell em where to shove it even if they did.

Anyways great work man, you pulled it off.

I thought the subject matter was fine. You showed more of a sense of humor than bloodthirst for the young.

Overall animation was good, the models seemed a little awkward though. Enhanced lighting/textures would have helped out. But the animation was on par.

Everyone at work has been watching this over and over, laughing thier asses off. FYI, I work at a game dev studio/publisher. Great work I think. Only crit is the 3d is really silly, though, I saw a lot of it as parody, like the explosion being the stock sprite, it was funny cause it was cheap.

LMAO. your reel/short is pretty damn funny - I think it takes a certain type of individual to do something so cheesy for his final (?) - I wasn't too sure about the model and render style but then if you'd gone all pow wow real cg, it wouldn't have worked. Where do you see this taking you? It's an interesting piece of work / reel; that's for sure.

Yeah and you know why that is don't cha? ;) All those plugs we did this year must've cost them quite a bit of money in Bandwith. Sorry but the VFS Students are damn good :) I seriously think I plugged at least 15-20 reels this year alone.

animation is ok. I think it could use better lighting and surely some texturing work. I think it's a little confusing for the story line and there is some break in the continuity of the action...kind of wondering what's going on there beside the "shoot them up, beat them up" job. I don't understand where the explosion is coming from.

I don't care much for the content, what I really did not like is the lack of story or continuity in it and that it could use a better finish in the texturing and ligthing. My guess is that you are looking for an animator work and you don't want to show texture for that reason. I am looking for a modeling job but when I do my real it will have also the best lighting and texturing work that I can provide...just a thought :)

I think you need to give in to the wants and desires of the masses, creativity does not go rewarded, get back in the box with the rest of the mindless who produce bullshit just to get a job producing the same crap we are currently watching. Don't try to raise the bar, people like it where it is.

I think the idea is great, I think the work is sub-par, and I don't find it as offensive as it is portrayed. The babies don't look like realk babies, but like alien babies, in which case it is ok to kill them violently. The world needs more violence, it is time to get back to the quality days of the 80 where random nudity and pointless violence made the world go round. Good job to you.

I think it would be even funnier if the babies were more cute. But, anyway, it was very nice, and had some great moments of snappy action (like the fridge door on the face gag). The sound effects were hilarious, too.
