Hi, I am wondering if there is a spherical displacement field to use with fumefx. Right now I am trying to recreate this effect (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2SUQP8Aq78) with the field that pushes the smoke away at a certain time. There is basically a stream of smoke, and I want to blow it outwards from within the stream. Just making a sphere that moves through the smoke at the right time does not move the smoke correctly. Any Ideas?

Haha, I see that the video author gave you an intelligent answer regarding how he displaced the smoke. :)

What's wrong with the particle space warps? I was under the impression that the wind space warp works with fumefx. Setting it to spherical should give you that effect.

yep u can use standard Max space warps to affect FumeFx (include them on the Fumefx Obj/Src list), although u need to pump up the strenght around 10x.

I tried messing around with the spherical wind, but it seemed to be too big (even with .1 decay). The wind just seems to blow the smoke upwards in an arc instead of out in a circle. I have the strength set to about 2000 for 3-4 frames.
