by the way I am working on Maya,3D max,and adobe collection.

But seriously, it depends on what you're trying to achieve stylistically. Still, animation, sunny, cloudy, stormy, night, day, sunrise, sunset etc all have different ways of working.
Also don't forget that you can always use real sky if you can match it well to your scene.

Hey Compuman...
Vue 7. It's a bit pricey but it's fantastic.
I'm using Maya 2008 and Vue Xstream 7. You can make Fantastic animations and scenes pretty easy and fast.
The two go great together (Vue and Maya)

There are 250+ of fully panoramic skies on my website, from overcast to clouded to sunset, and all at high res:

These skies are in the equirectangular format, meaning you can just wrap them around a sphere and you'll have a perfect skydome.
If you haven't visited CGTextures before, there is a 15MB download limit every 24 hours, and since these skies are really huge you'll get through that quickly. So choose your skies well! (Or download the small versions).
