View Full Version : How do i remove a shader from a face without deleting the shader?
martinf430 12-09-2008, 06:09 PM this seems simple yet i cant figure it out, ive added a lambert to a face (Maya 08) and want to remove the lambert from the face without deleting it toataly can someone tell me how to do this?

Apply a different shader to it. Generally it's a good idea to leave lambert1 alone (as it's the default applied to all geo) and so when you want to return something with a new shader back to its default appearance just reassign lambert1 and you are back where you started.

Cameo is correct. However, if for some reason you REALLY need it to be without any shader, you can open the object in hypergraph and delete the connections to the shader.
