I can't seem to find the product list on the maxon site. So could somebody please tell me what game, films, etc have been made using cinema 4D? Also, do any colleges use cinema 4D or any jobs I can get that use cinema 4D?

Odd that that list doesn't include Spiderman, Daredevil, or Episode II. Cinema was used exclusively to make the opening sequences of the first two, and it was used for matte paintings in E2.

in addition, it is used by ilm, disney (harry potter for example) ... also nasa, daimler chrysler and some more are clients of maxon

Jokes not allowed please. He made a simple question, respond if you know the answer, otherwise don't confuse people.

To clear it up FF used Lightwave and Maya. No Cinema 4D afaik.

A lot more than this was used. They might of been the core hubs for a lot of the work, but FF branched out into lots of new areas where they had to make their own tools. Hair, rendering, shaders, animation solutions are some examples.

I checked up on the little FF issue and it was actually made with Maya and softimage, no sign of C4d in the credits...

Weird stuff, makes me wonder where I got the idea from in the first place. :hmm:

Sorry if I caused any confusion...

The only app mentioned in the final credits of the movie is Maya afaik (they obviously used it with PrMan and a ton of proprietary stuff/MEL scripting). I didn't know they used shade too

They used shade for a lot of their cinematics, so I don't see why they wouldn't, but I guess credits is the safest way to go. Though most movies usually list the main app used if any, simply cause you don't want 10 minute credits like matrix reloaded

hahahaha man how many times have you seen Matrix Reloaded so far, 100? :D :scream:

no only five, but one more time for sure today, I"m also getting sick of the stupid 3D tricks in Ghost of the abyss, oh no the claw is coming at me ahhh oh wait its a movie duh. Nothing beats watch peple in a theatre with 3D glasses al stretching hands out at the same time trying to tough something projected on a screen, and then all jump back at the same time when this thing n the screen appears to jump at them. Stupid people. too bad matrix was in Imax 3D, then I"d probably last at least a week longer before getting sick of it. course the it would weight 1200 pounds, don't think me hands could handle moving those around all day.

Editorial and Compositing tools by: Avid/Softimage

Main app was obviously Maya as it's the only familiar 'logo' that scrolls over the screen...

Aaaaah now i understand! They used Avid/ds (once Softimage/ds) for compositing, but that has nothing to do with the 3D stuff.
