I am using a simple maya muscle capsule to get some elbow deformations.
The model was rigged with standard animation bones-skin deformer-then I convert that to a muscle skin surface.
I have used it in maya 08 sp 2 and dont recall this problem, and although the model in question has an indent along the forearm(like a trench) which might cause some confusion for the sliding, even in a smooth area, I still get the same erratic sliding issues. The vertices pop out. Its erratic.
I have redone it a couple of times and sometimes the erratic popping is less obvious, but I cant seem to cosnsitently get it right.
Is there some default setting I should check?
I tried painting the length of the arm-and using smooth flooding, but I still get the funny popping.
