Hi all,

I wonder if somebody here (especially the japanese users) is in contact with Aquarius. I emailed him and asked him if he would be interested in kinda perfectionating his Iron tool (that became an essential modeling tool for all of us I guess) by sending me the code and I would have ported it to C++ (for speed issues) and make it non-modal, a tool plugin and a deformer and then offer this of course for free to all users (I donīt want to have any credits for this at all and he could put this version on his site again etc.. I just find that the modal version sometimes stops the workflow too much...).

But I havenīt heard back from him/them yet. So I would like to know if somebody who is in contact with him could try to ask him to send me the code or if he refuses to do so?

What do you think? Would you guys be interested in such an improvement for Iron? I certainly am for I use it for modeling all the time and it would be a pity if it wouldnīt improve and/or even sometime in the future wouldnīt work at all anymore...

Best
Samir

Yep, Iron is permanent feature of my toolbox, too so any enhancements would be great.

Cheers

Yes! I use iron to correct my awkward and angular modeling.
I need it to be bigger and better because I get worse and worse:)

Thanks for the generous offer to upgrade it!

Maybe AndyB is still in contact?

AbsoLUTELY! That would be great. And while you're at it, how about a non-modal Saw plugin? :)

If I find the time to do it, sure. But my main interest lies in Iron...I will contact AndyB, maybe he knows more..

Hope a lotta people will answer here so I can show him this thread and convince him that itīs essential ;)

Where can the IRON plugin be acquired? I looked on Maxon's site but didn't see it. Thanks!

Nevermind...after third search I located...had to do some digging as there are a LOT of plugins on the plugin resource page here in the C4D forums...very easy to miss that one little four letter word lol!

Thanks for the link. I was wondering about that plug-in but had not downloaded it until now. Well, it's a very cool thing and I can see that it will become an important part of my plug-in arsenal.

Never thought, that ironing could be fun - it is and could be even better non-modal. Nice idea, Samir. Hope youīll catch him ;-)
