I'm going for the "wicked" look, does the "eyebrow" lens covers on the headlights look like a bit 'to much'? I'm trying NOT to go overboard with the wicked look (flames, skulls and such), but most of the flames and skulls are OK I think, but I'm not sure about the headlight covers.
I'll probably replace the differential (part inbetween the rear tires) with a skull looking one, the shifter knob will be a skull, and there will probably be some skulls in the flame paint job.
Thanks for replys!

KickAss !! :bounce:
I really like the work you've done. It really captures the posture and detail well. I think that the evil headlights/flaming skull work well, but I'll reserve my judgement until we can see the whole thing in context with the textures and bad boy paintjob.
Fantastic modeling - the engine looks great, especially the blower and linkage details. I'd love to see a 50's version with the top off, finned brake drums up front, a chopped windshield, Big-n-little whitewalls with baby moons and a tuck and roll interior as an alternative.
You know... in your spare time :scream: LOL
** edited to make sense... it's early.

Thanks for the comments guys!
about the spider web, got any suggestions as to what should take it's place maybe?
I'm probably going to make it less symetrical, but I don't want to go overboard :)
Thanks again for the replys! Much appreciated!

LEAVE THE SPIDER WEB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think that your front rims are lacking spokes, I have helped build hotrods back in the day and those rims will break after you lift them off the ground twice. They are not strong enough.. As for the lens covers they are a good detail added, ME LIKEY:applause: And what type of motor are you useing for refernce, I see some problems with where you have put the rotor and the placement of the plug wires...Love the rear tires and could you give me ahint on the making of them. That is one thing that I haven't tackled yet for my vehicles, so far they are all on slicks... LOOKS to me that this might be a Winsor???? SWEET JOB BTW:thumbsup:

for the engine? Well, I'm going for the generic "Chevy Bigblock" look. The carburetors and linkage are not finished, I'd say about 50% finished with them.
Yea, I will beef up the front wheels, thanks!!
just going for something like this with the engine (different intake tho)

Thanks for the comments! I really appreciate them!!
As for the tire tread? there is a tutorial on my website, it gives the very basics to how I make tire tread. I'm going to make a little write up on how I do some of the minor details to the tread some time when I have time.

Error404: I checked out your site right after looking at your post and the tread tut was so helpful, I finally got the idea in my head to make real tires for my trucks vs. slicks.
And a CHEVY motor in a T-Bucket ooooooohhhhhh those Found On ROad Dead guys are gonna hate you. BTW your cars on your site are SWEET, as I used to say EXCELLENT SMITHERS..  :applause:

thanks :D
The tread tutorial is just to help people get started, it took me a while to figure out even where to start when modeling a tire, so this kind of gives people an Idea.
I also model a few treads out flat, then roll it up to make a circle :) I use that method for more complex tread grooves.
I'm not hardcore Chevy, Ford, or Mopar. I like them all! haha! But yes, I do think that older fords should have a chevy powerplant :)

Yea, dirt will come last, as thats what I'm not good at
Anyway, an update on the radiator:
http://www.danielbuck.net/wip/tbucket8.jpg
The skull will see more work (and will be chrome/billet), and the pinstripe MAY change to a more horizontal design (it might fit better).

Yes, I will be on vacation for 3 weeks, so I'll resurect this thread when I get back. I don't have Max back home in Louisiana, but I do have photoshop, so I'll work out some good flames for the body :D
