It started about 5 or so years ago, the time had come for me to create my first web based e-mail account. As I was filling in the required fields, I came upon the “desired user name” field. I sat there and thought to myself what would be the right User name for my first Hotmail account. It took me a few minutes, and about half a dozen ideas came and went before “Pinky” hit me. At the time, the WB’s Pinky & The Brain was still running strong, and I was a big fan. Pinky and I shared many similarities, so it was as natural a choice as any I guess.
Young and foolish I may have been at that point in my life, but I was not dumb. I held no hopes at all that Pinky@hotamil.com was not already taken. So I thought a little longer for a 2nd name to go with Pinky. Out of nowhere Austin Powers flew into mind. If I remember correctly, the first Austin Powers was the only one out at the time, and it was fairly new. So I put Powers at the end, and came up with a name that was truly unique. And it just sort of stuck.
Today all of my closest friends call me Pinky, and it is good.
I just got done drawing this picture yesterday, and I scanned it and colored tonight after I got home from work. Bitchin isn’t it? :D
