The select and move tool is messed up. how do i get it back to the gizmo form because its on the locked on the XY scale

yeah i did that except i dont get the gizmo for the move tool or the rotate

Z is a blue arrow up
X is a red arrow right
Y is a green arrow left

any other ideas?

oh shoot,

no i do not ... i click the XY restriction and my move tool still allows me to move around on the X Y Z

In your 3ds Max dir/UI
would you be able to post your _startup.ui?

Under one of the menus, there is an option to hide the gizmos... also i think there is another thing under customize viewports

also by default 'x' will toggle the 3d gimzo to the old style 2d non interactive gizmo
