View Full Version : LW and Unreal 2003

Does anyone have any experience getting LW models into the Unreal level editor without the UV mapping going all haywire?

I've asked around on the various Unreal-related forums (like http://sv3.3dbuzz.com/vbforum/unr_index.php), but people either are using Max or are using LW with no problems. :rolleyes:

Basically, my problem is one of atlas UV mapping sliding around all over the place when the model is brought in as a Static Mesh. It looks fine in Modeler and Layout...

i've successfully imported LW models into unrealed as static meshes with the uv's staying intact by following the tutorial on the lightwave site (http://www.newtek.com/products/lightwave/tutorials/modeling/UT2003/index.html if you haven't seen it).

Cool, thanks, I'll check it out.

What's weird is, sometimes the textures are aligned properly, and sometimes they're not. I can't seem to figure out what makes the difference...
