View Full Version : AE audio Sync

Hi,
I've encountered this weird problem of Audio being out of sync after i exported the clip from AE.
During the Ram Previews, everything plays well but after my export. The Audio seems to be slighlty slower than the visual.
i've checked my Comp Framerate and the export setting but to no avail.
Anybody has a workaround or a answer to this audio sync problem?

What format/ Codec and what framerate?

Mov / Sorenson3 / 25 fps / 1920*1080
actually i've tried a few versions - avi_indeoVideo5.10 and mov_h264 but i'm still stuck with the audio sync problem.
Has this got something to do with audio plackback rate or Khz setting?
I pretty much left all the audio setting @ default 44.1khz 16-bit stereo

quicktime has some really weird audio synch problems since a few releases.

go to the QT prefs and use GDI only mode. this should almost fix the problem. it seems still a bit off to me, but maybe im paranoid.

many many thanks payton,

it does seems better than before but it does seems to be 1-2 frames off sync...
I thought the 7.5.5 update would fix the existing bugs since that disabling legacy codec update.

itīs a pitty. 2 years ago quicktime was such a reliable piece of software.
but nowadays we have to bother with gamma and brightness shifts with some codecs, after effects crashes because of DRM stuff and audio synch problems that are so tremendous - you cant believe.
quicktime was always the way to go, to send stuff to clients. but not any more.

please apple: fix it.
