"Only humans can put an incredible amount of time and resources into creating civilizations and after that - destroy everything. The funny thing is, we never stop this process. We have been repeating this cycle for a more than 5000 years, so why not imagine this process still going on today?."

Crits:

Folds on soldier don't look realistic. Did you use refs at all?

Why is leather texture for ammo pouches and helmet looking like stone? And the buttons stand out like bullseyes.

Anatomy issues for both characters.

Posing and face expression on girl could be better. She looks lobotimized to me.

It's a so so composition in general with straight on camera pov and all.

Thanks for sharing. Good luck on your next news/tutorial.

Wow, i think you nailed almost everything Pinoy McGee, I just want to add the girl had no folds on her dress... I wonder if that was intentional or did the artist just forget that part...?

It is a tutorial ... if eightgr had wanted your artistic opinion he would have posted it in the 3d images section ... or the wip section.

I thought it was quite an interesting read but a little bit sparse on the meaty tips.
