It's a very good composition and with nice colours and modelling...But the density of the arrows and those ...rockets(!), hmmmmm...I think they break overall atmosphere.

Also what happened in the neck of the horse? The skin is overlaping the leather strap?

Yes, Cyberjobe those are missiles. I know, not correct for history but this is a Sci-Fi book and that crystal Belisarius is wearing around his neck allow them to see as a dream into the future of making a new kind of weapon. So, yes you are correct in your thinking that there is no type of weapons in the Byzantium time, but this is a fictional story with a twist. Thank you for you concern thought.

Very well done. Great scene, so much to look at. Many works have a single subject while this has many. Much like old paintings.
