I'm planning on doing a growing tree to my animation. What should be the way to make it? I wouldnt like to use any tree plugins because i want to design the tree the way i want it to be.
Should i use bones? Xpresso? or what? Booleans?

Thanks allready

Posemixer or plain PLA are options to consider, if you really don´t want to get involved with XFrog or Samirs tree plug.

Growing objects suppose an engine which can handle object transitions with different polycount. U are lucky, Cinema can handle it trough blurp morps in the expresso editor.
Download C4D 8.1 sample scenes, here u will find an example scene.

Are you sure you won't consider plugins? The new Xfrog 4 version (in public beta right now) is fully integrated in cinema and incredible flexible. At least have a look:
