Hi everybody,
I have a little trouble with Photoshop.I`ve just read the Photoshop tips tutorial from the onona3d.com website, which I found really great :) Well now I want to try to blend two textures together using Phoposhop`s blending options. But Photoshop is my weak point and I can`t find how to open two images in a different layers.Maybe it sounds dumb,I know :) I tryed with opening two different images, then copy&paste one to another, but then appears the problem with the different image sizes, and I just can`t figure out how to do it correct.
If anyone can help me in this will be great :)

Okay, what you do is:

1. Open both images in Photoshop
2. Select the Move tool and on the larger of the two images, hold down Shift and drag the image onto the other, smaller image (I do it this way round because scaling down the larger image gives better results than scaling up the smaller one)
3. This will create a second layer with the larger image centred in it
4. Hit Ctrl-T (presumably Cmd-T on a Mac) and rescale to your liking the layer containing the dragged image
5. Hit Enter when done

That's basically it.

I wrote a small tutorial about using Photoshop blendmodes for texturing.

Go to www.cgtextures.com and select "Tutorials" from the top menu. It's called "Photoshop Blendmodes Explained"
