I won't necessarily be focusing on one specific myth, but a common theme among many of them. I was having trouble deciding what myth I wanted to portray, and time was ticking. At some point during my research, I became fascinated with the most cliche theme of them all: Knight (or hero) vs. dragon (or beast). What fascinated me about it was the fact that it was prevalent across so many very different cultures. Japan, Europe, Russia, India and others all have very similar stories that revolve around this theme.

Working on the concept for the 8-headed dragon. I'm basing him loosely on "Yamata no Orochi." A water dwelling dragon from Japanese mythology.

I'm also thinking of changing the concept for the main character (Better now then later.) I'd like to make him a sort of grease monkey engineer type, weilding a mighty wrench. It's a bit more interesting to me than the cowboy.
