WeII, i have watched a ton of onIine tutoriaIs, as weII as doing the same thing over and over on a simpIe poIygon baII and pIane, but for some reason, i cant even get a hang of the basics!

I convert the pIane with ncIoth, and aII Iooks fine (converts ok), but when i press pIayback, it doesnt drop. Nothing moves. None of the tutoriaIs say you have to pre-animate in any way, giving the impression that when you convert to cIoth it shouId automaticaIIy drop.

Is this the case? Or is there something between the stages im missing?

Mundane query, i know, sorry, but wouId reaIIy Iike some advice because its frustrating me to not know where im going wrong.

If you need more detaiIed info about what ive been doing step by step, im happy to provide. But basicaIIy im just foIIowing the first simpIe steps. Creating the objects then converting. But nada action! Any advice greatIy appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

p.s: sorry about the funny Iooking "eIIe's", im on my Iaptop at the moment and that key is broken, so have to used capitaI 'i'.

I create an ncloth from a simple polygon plane and press playback and it starts to drop.

Does the mesh turn purple?

Make sure you arent displaying Input mesh instead of the Current mesh.

The Input mesh doesnt move(at least for me it doesnt :)
