I understand the beta testers are still under their NDA, but if one weren't I bet he'd say "It recently got some critical bugs which need fixing soon, but other than that, it's a very fun and detailed game" ;)

I'm not sure if I'll buy it yet, especially at that price, but I'm certainly considering it.

im pretty dissapointed so far with the way SWG is going :thumbsdow

it was delayed allmost 3 months, and all of the content that wouldve made the game unique was cut out (player run cities, player owned vehicles etc). that and i hear all of the beta testers are bitching about how boring the game is.

that 15$ a month fee isnt very enticing either.....ill wait for the final reviews to start trickling before I make a decision on this one.....

I guess the proof will be in the pudding.

Hmmm... I need some pudding.

Well, NDA doesn't really cover how I feel about the game, so I can say, blah. To spin-quote the genre, "Most UN-impressive".

Played for about a month so far, I am glad I did now, cause it only cost me 5$ to get the beta CD. Which is another gripe I have, I had to get the CD since it had the serial on it. But I digress....

Graphics, great, Sound, Great, Netcode, pretty solid, fun factor? Hmmm, how do you say EQ in Space? O I just did.

Lets just say I know someone who is in the beta...and can relay some (assumed safe) info here...

- The game certainly has the most potential to greatness over most of the current (and previous) crop of online RPG's...
A problem could be lack of information for beginning players...can be bewildering to start the game...

- Although the release date seems early, perhaps slightly pressed, its clear that big strides have been made in recent weeks that'll give the date a "nod" instead of the impression the release will be frustrating customers badly (ofcourse thats the view from this end of the rls date ;)
(here's a toast on the "opening" of a few other well known games...say Anarchy Online.. )

- The starwars feel is there, and can only get better when the world evolves after retail opens.

- Conceptually, the game is great, has a great range of possibilites..can nearly say almost anything is possible..
(if there's one MMORPG where you can say that, its true for SWG)

- And finally, its the details that bring the immersiveness......

- Unfortunate that big things were ripped out, like vehicles etc. but they are promised for an update....

- Too bad the select few only could try out the force sensitivites, and not the general testers...unclear to form an opinion on those....

So all in all it sounds good, the price tho is kinda steep.. :hmm:

Star Wars Galaxies is what happens when you pull the camera off the stars and start panning around the background. If you want to feel like an extra on a movie set, this game is for you!

Beta tested it, not buying it. I hoping that World of Warcraft will finally be the MMORPG that is worth my time and money. PLEASE BLIZZARD!!! :bounce:

Yeah, I'm defintely waiting for WoW too. Blizzard havn't released a bad game to date and hopefully they won't break this tradition.

Starwars, Schmarwars. Unless I can be assured of playing a dark jedi ewok then it's not worth it. Regardless, it will still sell a crapload to all the slavering fans out there.

I've been waiting for what seems like forever to try this one out, but spending that much money to play a game a few hours a week is nuts.

They should put it on a meter instead of a flat fee. The addicts can pay for the hundreds of hours they spend playing it, those of us that want to pop in and blow people away once in a while can pay a couple of bucks a month on top of the $50 purchase.

I still pray that they eventually make a Shadowrun mmorpg one day. That is something I might be willing to spend $15 a month for
