Hey, I was gonna start planning my environment demo reel, and I had a question regarding style/technique. I was a thinking of doing a cartoony environment similar to the sam and max games by Telltale. Would this be a good show of modeling/texturing or would it just look lazy and unpolished? I'm just curious if it would catch a developers eye or if they would glance over it.

Heres some examples

Sam and Max #1 (http://pc.ign.com/dor/objects/771965/sam--max----season-1-episode-1-culture-shock/images/sam-max-season-1-episode-1-culture-shock-20061017020732062.html)
Sam and Max #2 (http://pc.ign.com/dor/objects/771965/sam--max----season-1-episode-1-culture-shock/images/sam-max-season-1-episode-1-culture-shock-20061017020739375.html)
Sam and Max #3 (http://pc.ign.com/dor/objects/771965/sam--max----season-1-episode-1-culture-shock/images/sam-max-episode-1-20060726033601540.html)

I would try to show different styles so they see you have a wide range of techniques and sensibility that you can bring to the table if they hire you. The Sam and Max style should only be one of the styles you're showing, not the only one.
