Title: Mini Cooper
Name: enrico beccari
Country: Italy
Software: Maya, mental ray, Photoshop

For my second car (Lotus was first) I choose one of the many many versions of Mini Cooper. Some pieces I still made with nurbs, other ones I used poly and subd. Lighting and rendering, as usual, with Mental Ray (IBL, one key and a couple of fills).

i have seen people doing this common mistake, and you have done that too. why showing outdoor reflections in a studio render. over all it nice.

Good modelling. Environment definately lets it down. Take a look at Thomas Suurlands stuff. You need a reflection hdri that will suit the background...which it doesnt at the moment.

thanks for the comments
i never thought about this issue of the reflections... what do you suggest i'd use? a monocromatic image, a ramp, what?
almost all the hdr i have are of open spaces, i never considered physical credibility to be an issue here, maybe im wrong...
