Vue 7 Infinite 7.1 Beta Update available - Build 37660

This is so far a **MUST HAVE** update, the xstream portion and synchronizing plugin for C4D seems to so far be a much improved update. Time to start rendering in C4D is much much faster, I set up a scene with an infinite plane and an infinite population of gnarly trees - see example.

I am rating this a 3.5 *** 1/2 stars at this moment. Further experimentation with the plugin will determine if I reevaluate this for an increase or decrease in stars.

heh isn't 7.x a big beta anyways? I guess that's why they're not releasing their PLE yet because 7 is such a mess they don't want to scare away future customers with their overpriced software? :)

Anyone try the maya side yet or is that still a no go, even though they're allowing people to buy it?

It would be nice if they had a PLE version availabe. That way I can find out if they worked out any of the bugs between Vue and 3DS Max.

i was way to optimistic and bought 7 xstream, using it with max is more than a horror....it crashes all the time on my brand new octo machine...and it appears to have some memory leaks aswell even with the newest update. They write on their page that 2gigs of ram are recommendet -after the first render you find that 5.7gigs are used and theyy wont purge...
thus changes on max are auite impossible -crash (you get used to it after a few hours :) )

7.1 seems good for infinite but, it is still very broken it seems in most if not all the host apps of the xstream edition. Thankfully I've already read about a 7.2 beta in peoples hands.
