how did you do when you have a four leg character and just want to animate one of each side... so the other one follow the "main" leg, all this with a small delay?....

I just star to make sketchs... but I was wonder, if the final CH results to be a 4 leg fella, I ll go for some custom rig solution...

any idea???

thank in ADV!

Well, you could just animate them all at the same time, but, if you want a set of legs to follow the other, you could link the solver to the end bone of the other leg or something, then use a spring controler to create a slight lag and secondary motion to it...unless of course you are talking about CS....

Uhhh.... Sorry if you know this already, but with 4 legged animals, that have a normal walk, they don't actually move 2 legs in the same direction at the same time. The possible exceptions to this might be a hopping bunny rabbit, or a kangaroo.

If you really want to figure out the gait of a 4 legged creature, just turn on the Discovery channel, or at least crawl around a little, and notice how you move your legs and hands in conjunction with one another. Seriously. We crawl with a similar movement as a four legged animal, and it'll help you figure some things out.

I forgot to say that this is not a real creature, its more like a cartoon representation of a six legged creature... but in my case its have 2 arms and 4 legs and each pair of leg acts like one...

but i want to make it a little uneven to avoid a mechanical look...

thanks any way!!!
