Hi fellow max users,

I am thinking of posting a topic covering 3rd party books. I'll list titles along with brief comments about each book that I own. And I own lots! Maybe this could be turned into a sticky if it proves popular. I'll more than likely post it in the Resources sub-section since books are considered a resource;)

Although the manuals, tutorials, and help files included with max are an invaluable source of information I do believe subsequent books are very worthwhile to have in ones library. With these type of books costing so much and it's hard to determine the good from the bad sight unseen I figured you all might appreciate this. I usually buy the books no matter what because I'm a book lover.

What do you think?

Great. Thanks for the support!

I've posted the list in the Resources section. Like I said I hope the mods will make it a sticky.

Titles are listed for now and I'll start adding comments soon.

Cheers!

I've started to add comments to the Book List (http://www.cgtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=660039#post660039) to assist in your purchasing decisions!

Hope you like it. If you have comments please post in this thread, NOT the Book List thread. I'd like to keep the List thread as clean as possible from dialog.

Cheers!

Excellent idea!
Thanks for doing this effort.

I'm also a book lover but I have to purchase lot of other factual literatur and sadly there isn't enough money left to buy so much 3d books as I wish.
