An Digital Airbrushing of Pop artist Christina Aguilera..

Took my about 5-6 hours non-stop in Photoshop CS3, I'm happy with the outcome, hair was especially difficult but meh, I guess it's done!

Dedicated to Asayis for being a wicked guy, and helping me out heaps, www . asayisarts . deviantart . com [link]

I was advised to visit this forum on the grounds that my piece didn't have enough 'skin texture' I asked if the person would lend some tips on how to achieve some decent skin texture, and he/she redirected me here, hope you guys can help, thanks in advance!

What copyright photo did you use for this? Should at the very least credit the photographer...

She's pretty plastic looking, no doubt.
You simply need to adjust your airbrush flow and spatter, along with the opacity, and use some variation in the skin tones to break up the solid look. Diffuse your highlights a bit to get rid of the plastic look.

My apologies for not knowing the identity of the photographer, but it was found in a stock pack so I honestly have know idea.

Thanks for your comments, much appreciated.

I like that kinda glossy "plastic" style! How do you do?!

Would be fun if you could make it with your own sketches!

Keep going!

Not quite sure, It seemed to have just happened that way, although I did use the smudge tool a fair bit, and did a lot of blending, and a small Topaz Clean to help smooth out the tones..
