Heya,

MaxQtVR currently doesn't work with Brazil r/s - it's a known issue, i'm afraid.

You may wish to explore other methods - Refracted should have a post here on CGtalk on generating QTvr panoramas using a different tool.
Or you could use another panoramic tech altogether, such as Panotools (java)

actually, i wasn't the one who posted the thread, but i'll be darned if i can find it again :P i used a program called GoCubic that takes in 6 images (top bottom left right front back) and reconstructs into a panorama.. works quite nicely really. All you have to do is render out those 6 images (90 degree FOV, same origine, different directions) and number them as GoCubic indicates, and just run them through GoCubic.. there are settings for compression and whatnot.. It's pretty simple, so it cant really do any of the fancy Quicktime stuff like "hot spots" or whatever they're called..but it's sufficient to create a panorama.

hope this helps..

*giggle* Panotools can do hotspots and more :D

Okay, seriously... I'm not fond of Quicktime in general, and Panotools is free, can run on pretty much any platform. Hence the suggestion :)

Ref: oops ;)

panotools can't create cubic QTVR's.
the only free way i found to create them on windows is gocubic.exe.

i made a maxscript to automate the rendering process, but there is no clean way to automate gocubic.exe.
it doesn't accept command line parameters. since the source is available, it would be easy to implement such a functionality, but i don't speak visual c++ ;)

so the quicktime file has to be compiled manually with gocubic.exe, which is a matter of seconds.

i will build a UI for the script, it should be available for download later today at http://plugins.marclorenz.com

nope - which is the point: to get away from a proprietary non-platform-agnostic format such as Quicktime :)

The functioanilty of panotools is far greater than QtVR as well.

It doesn't do object VRs, though.

Anyway :D
