Title: Lotus Elise MKII
Name: enrico beccari
Country: Italy
Software: After Effects, Maya, mental ray
Lotus Elise sport car. I modeled it from photos and blueprints using NURBS. Then I used IBL and some spot lights to illuminate within Maya, and Mental Ray to render. Final composite with AE.

Really nice overall just one thing that got me directly. The rims are a bit thin, You would need to make the a bit thicker if I understand the model correctly : http://www.kethmer.dk/ferrari/annoncer/alternativer/lotus-elise.jpg keep the good work up!

for the rims, i think you are right, they are a little too thin
for the nurbs, yep, this was the first and last time i used them, it was kinda funny but they are too much of an hassle

Don't give up on NURBS! This was only your first try - as time goes on, it gets much easier and second nature. Think of how hard polys were when you first got into CG!

Heheheh I sorta recognize it ;-)
Yes, the rims are not thick enough, plus the antenna is missing and the wing on the lower side of the car is slightly different... a few details here and there need to be tweaked a bit, but I'm just being picky: not a bad result considering this car has a very curvy and difficult to interpretate body.

Good work overall just the rims need more refl
Good model.
Though the rendering could be improved.
Check your leves. I think it's underexposed.

well modeled, as already mentioned the alloys are way too thin.
Render wise its really lacking any contrast, I would work on the lighting a lot more.
