well i download the Simbiont plugin for c4d and started playing around with it, i was amazed at some of the texture you could create and when i applied them to my model it wasnt exactly what i was expecting, on the first model it seemed the lighting was reversed the light were the shadow should be and the shadow where light should be, on the next one i tried it affected a sphere and my model differently " see picture" the ball is in the charcter's hand with a spot light aimed at the hand, but the ball is brighter then the model, and its the same texture, ive looked for answer on the Simbiont website but cant find any?

I use those shaders frequently. Im not sure i understand your problem and the render you posted is so very dar on my screen that i can hardly make out anything.

One thing i have noticed is that the normals on polygons can distort the texture immensly when ive used simbiont. For example if i forgot Align Normals i get lot of very dark patches in the texture.

Try Selecting all poulygons and choose Align normals or even reverse normals to see if you get any changes.

Otherwise could you clarify the problem?
