This is a personal project I did just for the fun of it! Please tell me what you think of it, C&C are always welcome.

Repost of it now that I have a space to put it! And the size makes a better justice to the image!

Cool image. Love the lighting. One critique is the blue weight next to the left wall appears to be sinking into the wall. Hehe, reminds me of rocky or something, i can just picture some old guy walking through the gym reminising about his glory days. Good job.

Where are the mirrors?
Its no gym without the mirrors. Add a light in the middle to create a fake GI.

overall the scene looks nice...could use a bit more lighting imho.

One crit: The plates on the weights off to the right don't seem to be seperate. It looks like there is just one big weight on either side of the bar, when there should probably be about 3 in that space.

looks good but it is hard to critque with such amazingly horrible compression

Hi and thanks a lot for your comments.

The blue 20kg weight does acctually not sink into the wall, it leans to a wall behind a corner, but it seems to be sinking into the wall yes. so I moved it.

There are mirrors at the end wall but it is kinda dark so it does not show wery good, I`l fix that with moore (better) lightning.

There are 3 seprate weights at the Olympia bar, maybe I`l rotate it a bit so the seperation shows better.

This is my first post here and this was acctually the largest image I was allowed to post, hence the horrible compression so sorry about that.

Again your c&c helps so keep it cooming

Hi I now got a space to put the images at, so therefore I posted this larger image to make the image more justice:cool:

I don't think the lighting does this any justice - it's fine to have strong contrast but you're losing a lot of the image down the middle there - I think you should try to bring it up to the same level as the tone of the wall on the left. And I'm pretty sure that weight on the left does go through the wall. Apart from that it's a nice image, keep it up :)

Look carefully. I'm not sure if he's added them since your comment, but there are mirrors.

And about that wieght, it appears that the "little corner" stops before the ground, creating the illusion of part of the wieght being inside the wall.

Hi! I have not changed anything since the comment, and you are correct "randomusername" there are mirrors and the weight does appear to be sinking in to the wall but it doesn’t actually do it.

However I will correct this in this picture when I can find the time to do this, hopefully soon :-)

I will also work on the lightning of the Gym, the current look is a little dark. Thanks for C&C

I think the texture work on the walls and the floor needs work. Additionally, the blue weight on the left side appears to be intersecting the wall.

Two new versions of the scene is loaded (at the top) I have tried to get the light a little brighter, but not to bright, when I want the dark look to it ;)

I also moved the blue weight, even though it still seems a little off. I wont bather to move it now, the scene is pretty big and it takes time rendering it.

The old photo is just for fun actually

I’m a body builder so I’ve been to plenty of gyms in my lifetime. The weight rack in the back has all the same weights (what I mean by that is the top rack has all small weights and bottom rack has all medium weights but they are of the same size) Also for the squat cage where the decline bench is you want to make the 45 bar closer to the wall to show that a user was doing decline bench press. I also defiantly agree with bigbad about the mirrors. Got to have a lot of them around. Its impart to the user to make sure he or she is using correct form when performing a weight lifting set. Also this gym looks sketchy (meaning like some ghetto basement in NYC.

Yea I also know a lot of what I said above is nit picking but if you want this to come out as best as you can make it, might as well go balls to the wall
