i followed this tutorial:

but at the end part when you bend the shape, mine gets all messed up, can you please help me with this ? is there a way i can create a tire using array from what i have so far ?

you have to duplicate length wise
and then bend it shoudl work fine if you have all the distances right.

@sebek27: You have to duplicate the segment along the Z-axis and then group them before adding the Bend deformer.

@Peoples: Yes, that's right, that's the thread that provided me with the necessary info:)

cartesius: I created 50 duplicates and then grouped them into one; now i add bend deformer and i tried bending in 3 different ways and this is what I get:

Sebek - try looking at the tutorial on my site - you're not far off, but you might have the hierarchy a bit wrong. I pinched Peoples' idea :) so it should be right.

Just scale the deformer on the Z-axis so it covers all of the segments and you should be OK. See the image on my site (in the tutorial) just below the image showing the Duplicate dialog.

warp deformer worked better... now i need to tweak the tire
huh ? my image is 19.7kb and it won't attach says needs to be under 20k ! i'll make it smaller i guess..

Glad to see you got it worked out. If it is not already in a hypernurb try adding one to help get a little more rounded look.
