Title: The Artist's Hand
Name: Mac Hart

Software: Maya, mental ray, Photoshop

This is a piece I created in tribute to the delicacies of the human hand and the importance it has for an artist.

The rendering consists of a hand I modeled and textured and a fully modeled and textured background with drawings on the desk that I drew myself.

The piece was created with Maya and rendered with Mental Ray. Touch-ups were done in Photoshop.

Wow this is looking absolutely amazing and totally real! Great modeling and stunning texturing work! The Background is great too. Maybe not as realistic as your hand. But very good too.

The modeling just astounds me!

personelly I hate drawing hands(and feet) i also hate moddeling hands and rigging them and skinning them.
but I'm glad to see someone took up the challange :D
Its very nice, and I like the details, how you can see his finger prints and the lines in his palm :D
