Much obliged Polou, I'll post new updates as they come. When the car is finished, the model will be available in the downloads section on my website for anyone needing this type of vehicle in a project.

Well done, I like it.
Are you going to do the inside of this car ?

I haven't made up my mind about that Polou, I may just smoke out the windows, give 'em a nice reflection and leave it at that. On the other hand, it would look nice with "phat rims" and a Kenwood:cool:

Yes it's a lot of work to do everything.
Are you going to animate the doors, bonnet etc ...?

I don't think it'll go that far, it'll be of the "boneless" variety. I'm just making this car for fun, if it was for a client then I would have everything , springs, struts.... a whole engine things like that.

Looking realy smart! I would like to see the glossy shader from toon nation on that thing. It looks a bit plastic at the moment.
Godd work though.

Yeah I think you're right John, the paramedics definately need to be called in to fix that one. I'll put it up to download later and if someone wants to tackle it, I'd sure like to see the results...

I used a map in the diffuse channel to get a "shiny" car look once. AM's basic combiners work well but you need to use other types of maps to get the most out of the renderer.
Are you modelling in one .mdl file or piecing together in a choreography?
Nice first image but the trouble with that angle is it's a Car Designer's "glamour" shot - you're not supposed to be able to tell the design. Just a sexy view. Your side view works & tells your effort better. When you light this up in your choreog you should post another wip render.
Nice stuff though!
