View Full Version : radiosity giving me trouble (pics inside)

basically i have just about finished fixing all the errors in my scene (3ds2009), then i do the final render and all of a sudden my water texture on my pool has simply stopped working like it did before.

i have changed no setting regarding the pool texture itself or how it interacts with the scene. im really hoping somone here has seen this kind of thing before and can give me a simple solution.

it happens with radiosity, but renders perfectly without rad active.

HOWEVER as you can see from the good pic, it has worked with radiosity before....so i dont have any idea why its not working with it now.

Which is the good? Both look ok to me...

the good is the rougher water. the bad is the flat one.

the flat one looks okay, hhowever it does have random graphical glitches on different renders, which is a big problem as i need to render from 7 angles.

i know its not SUPPOSED to look like that too. with the material acting normal without radiosity (and one time with rad on) also the preview on the mat editor hasn't changed yet the rendered texture has.


i really hope somone can help me fix this weird problem :)
