you need a main light source that casts shadows first of all. then have a secondary light with a blue or colored tone for the back lighting. Lookup the 3point light system for more information. everything is too matte, it doesn't really read like metal, needs more texture or a reflection map on the metal parts.

but mainly work on the lighting everything is almost the same value work on getting darks and lights

as far as the general ambiance goes i think its pretty good. i cant really critique the model without a wireframe, but from what i see it seems a little bit sloppy. I can aleady tell that the models dont have good meshflow especially from the cement pillar. You have a lot of straight jagged edges which is expected from a low poly model, but some of the trim on his armor and other areas have no curves to them at all, it looks like you were taking the quick route and trying to avoid making more complex geometry. Nothing you can really do now just something to keep in mind for your next project. But its not bad, I wouldnt fix anything. some pieces you have to let be done and take what youve learned to your next piece, because quality stuff starts from the beginning you cant fix whats been done.
