Awsome stuff. Is it my imagination or is that one picture at the bottom a worn out Bender robot from Futurama?

Hey, thank you for the kind words, that's really nice!
(And thank you too, mr. Proton and Mr. Vost!! ;-))
It's weird that you cannot download the movie, it should be OK, but if its not, I hope we can fix it soon...
I'm at home now, and while I cannot 'save as' , I can see the movie just by clicking on it...
Try this: http://www.beam.tv/beamreels/play_clip.php/tinnytom.mpg?file_id=1072269
Hope that helps.
Cheers!

Poli... you changed your avatar... very cool man.
As far as the animation goes.... I absolutely love the style. I thought the story was not so hot though. The article was a good read too

"gelukkige verjaardag" means 'commence phase one of operation world domination'....or did it mean 'happy birthday'? I don't know anymore!

Marcel - haha, that made me more happy than most things I read.
I wish that I could watch this, but I am in mid-British Columbia of Canada where high speed internet is almost just a fairy tale in my town. Because of this, I'm going to just say... good job on making me think you did a good job. If you keep that up, I bet all kinds of 56k users will think you are awsome :D And of course, gelukkige verjaardag. hehe

This is a very cool animation...and, while I like it very much, I sure would be pissed off if I were Brian Taylor (the creator of Rust Boy)...I thought that Tinny Tom looked an awful lot like Rust Boy before I even read the interview...then when I read where Newtek asked the question, "How did you come up with the idea for Tinny Tom? What was the inspiration?" I thought to myself, "Man, I hope they admit to taking some ideas from Rust Boy". At least they admitted it; but man, that is too close not to be considered at least rude. I mean, now, when Brian Taylor finally comes out with his film, it won't seem original...and he was the one who originated the idea! I don't care if Brian never comes out with the film...it seems like robbery to me.
Sorry guys...I'm a big fan of Rust Boy. And don't get me wrong--this animation is awesome, and these guys have some obvious talent. They should have worked a little harder not to copy, though, IMO...

Looks kinda like real-time stuff you might see on a gamecube or something. In that, the lighting is very unnatural, and there's nothing stimulating about the visual content. It just really lacks a richness that you'd want to see in that kind of short. Just because it's dark outside doesn't mean it has to be bland.

I'm looking at the original Rustboy and this character side by side and u should see the difference.
Nothing at all simillar.. except for the rust.. I think you mean the overall feel of the animation, but I havent seen the animation yet..

itīs pretty... but y donīt like too much the walk-cycle of the robots... (y know itīs not easy yīm trying myself to do my own) it look like sliding on the ground... and the end... mmm.. donīt like too much, it will not be better that the robots will look at his home with full of flowers? ... well, thats my point of view... but really good anim.

Yes, we helped Hectic Electric, a big postproduction company here in Amsterdam with that...

Hectic Electric does a lot of commercials here in holland. There is hardly a block of commercials where they're not present... (You usually don't notice it but that's because they are very good :) )
For the Delta Lloyd commercial we did the buildings in the background, the tanks, the float and the rocket launchers.
