View Full Version : 3dsmax unwraping problem

u can see the problem i have in picture .i unwrapped the model for displacement mapping .but the relation between arc and outer portion disconnected in unwrapping i did .i cant match the size and tail of brick together that comes out .how can i fix this?

wel firstly it would be impossible to construct a brick arch(in the real world) in the way shown even if your textures matched.The inner course of bricks that define arch would be built traditionally from slightly differing specially cut tapered bricks by the masons on site.

There are various methods of construction depending on the style of the arch:gothic,parabolic,elliptical,etc.........a 10 sec google image search will give you dozens of ideas.

Apart from that: What map are you using? Looks very generic.
Why don't you paint a texture and pla<ce the bircks like you need them?
