Mike Pauza 06-16-2003, 04:13 PM I was wondering what the beefs people are having with current implementations of XSI's soft body dynamics?

Constructive beefs only, please. :)
Lets not turn this into a rant session.
Thanks.

OK....How about what do people like most and dislike most about soft body dynamics?

Are you talking about inside XSI, or just in general?
I haven't used softbody dynamics in any other programs, but I have no complaints about the way they work in xsi - they are quite easy to setup.

I guess no one here really has a "beef" with XSI's softbodies cuase no one has posted any, Now go to maya thread and post the same question about maya and let see the complaints fly ( though maya does have a powerful though confusing softbody implementation).

soft body is fine...but what about a nice and simple (and fast)hard body sim... :scream:
however i do have beefs with hair and cloth, but i hear its being addressed with the 3.5 update...

I dislike the lack of a target and follow object in the soft bodies, and that you have to use an intemediate object to get a softbody effect on your mesh if it's enveloped or deformed in some otherway.
Cloth can do that though, still it's not an ideal solution.
Asside from that quick and easy.
