View Full Version : EXOTIQUE 4 :: Cover tutorial

We are pleased to announce the release of our latest books, EXOTIQUE 4 and Matte Painting 2. The cover artist for EXOTIQUE 4, Mario Wibisono, prepared a walkthrough for your enjoyment. Using only a mouse and Photoshop, he created a gorgeous rendition of the Pepper Girl and titled her a Superstar. I tend to agree. If it wasnt enough that it is already really darn good, it's painted with a mouse! Didn't think that was even possible:)

Great painting, but this isn't a tutorial, brightness/contrast and colour balance - give me a break!

this is an amazing piece. the only thing is that these 'tutorials' are really just mini 'making-of' feautres. oh well, it is still quite interesting to hear about what the artist has done. great job mario!

The cover looks amazing!... but where is the tutorial? if you show us the first step and then the last step... that is not a tutorial.
Great work anyway!

I was really excited when I saw this tutorial and i couldn't wait to read through it. But for such an incredibly detailed painting, the tutorial is only two pages and there isn't much insight into how you did it. I have to agree that this isn't a tutorial. I'm sure you have some tools of the trade that you wish to keep to yourself. Anyway, you have an impressive gallery. Thanks for sharing :)
