View Full Version : Glass of Coke
Light_Scape 06-16-2003, 02:49 PM Hi Guys,
I found out about CGTalk couple of months ago. Very good site for Artists to get to know eachother. Ofcourse, I am no Professional in this thing, but I like to know how you great people evaluate my work. Any kind of suggestion, critics are welcome.
Thanks

Do you know the thing that happens with the glas when you blow in it ? It gets condensed, Try adding that kind of effect to the upper part of the glas above the coke. Seems there's something missing there. Should be wet or something, It looks like it has been cleaned after the fluid was poured in.
I don't know much about modelling and look up to all the guys here at CG talk, but i know a few things about pouring coke in a glas :)

Netrab: thanks for your suggestion. well before i start this, i had a glass of water with ice infront of me. after a while i noticed that the outter side of the glass just below the water level started to get wet (Not over the water line) It was clear and dry, as you see in the image. This is why I made the glass this way. But I will take your suggestion and try one more doing what you suggested. Thanks :)

I have to kind of agree with Netrab here in that there is something missing...... because the image looks very well done and detailed it also looks like some of the subtleties you get when people pick up glasses and drink from the should be there too..those slight finger imprint traces etc. It's certainly crying out for a big render. :)

ya i think you guys are right. as i mentioned before, i am no pro, and any suggestion is welcome. I will do one more with all the stuff you mentioned. oh, btw. I just posted another version with particles coming outta the liquid. I had to make the image small and kill the quality because of upload rules. I will upload the rest of my work into my server tonight and let you guys see the rest of the stuff. thanks
