View Full Version : Animation Engine (2D)

I'm developing an animation engine as my final project at university. I need help with the images.
The engine objective is to allow users to make animations using a text file, like it was a movie script.
I need some characters (2D) (they can be simple) to code their movements.
Engine current features:
Avi video support (for playing non real time intros);
Sound with pan support;
Dialogs are synchronized;
Every movement that does not change the x or y position of the char is supported (punchs, kicks);
I'm now working on the background, trying to develop the parallax effect.

though I can't draw characters very well, are you in need of maybe a web interface?
I'm kinda a web designer, and I wouldn't mind helping....
just give me some info, like what style you'd like, kinda the general shape, and if there's any online examples (ie, sites you found that you said "whoa, that's what I want!")

Thanks, I will sure need a website soon :-). But first I need a little demonstration to put there.
The characters does not need to be fancy. It can be like the xiao xiao movies, I just need the char making the right movement.
Really thanks for the help!!! :thumbsup:

so is what you need is a set of different setups for the character? like still frames, then you'll use them as different movements to make the game/animation thingie?

Yes :) .
Can you help me drawing the images?

I can try, but honestly, you might not want my stuff!!!
what kind of poses do you need?

First, the most common ones (punch, kick,...). Can be with left and right hand. Every movement that the char does not change his x,y position can help. The after this, we can try the walk movement, then jump and so on.
REALLY THANKS!!! :beer: :beer:

That's ok. As I told you, I don't need fancy images, just the movements. Can you make him do a stand movement?

Hey, man, sorry that I'm behind in work!
Please forgive? :hmm:
