Here is his original 2D concept.

I kinda liked them. Don't blame me though. They were Feng's idea :p

wow,that looks pretty good.

but erh...(this is prolly a "duh" question) how does it move around?
or is it like a sentry droid without guns(wich would make no sence to me)

Oh! You finished it! I was expecting it to take a little longer. Well, as with the tank, you've done a marvelous job recreating Feng's work. Awesome.

I'm assuming that is hovers. I would also guess that it's a sentry of sorts, although he could hold a gun since he has hands.

Wow - that was fast! Good work. The arms look fantastic, expecially the "elbows" with all the techno doodads.

The head looks like you rushed it to completion. It's missing some details the make it look unfinished compared to the level of detail present throughout the rest of the work.

I know you don't think you want to texture this, but adding a bump map to define the missing panel lines and add some of the distressed surfaces of the sketch would allow you to retain the concept sketch look and capture those details as well.

You've declared it "finished" so If you're pleased with it, then all I can say is congtratulations on a great job bringing this one to 3D. I've seen others tackle the same subject and yours is miles better than anything else I've seen.

Idealy, the work would never be finished. I think I could add detail to this until my dying day. The truth of the matter is my demo reel has to be finished in 2 weeks in order to graduate. I've planned one more model for my demo reel (Boeing F4B old prop figher plane). I want to have that model completed by close of this weekend coming up. That will leave me a week to render and work on my jump stations for the demo reel and come up with a layout. I personally would not bump to add distress. With the detail that I have, I would rather model panels etc. If I can knock out the next model before the close of next weekend, then I will most likely go over all of my models in order to add a bit more detail. Basically what I'm saying is, I had to pick a point to walk away from the model.

I really appreciate all of the feedback that you've given over the course of my last two models.
