Hey, it's off to a good start and looks promising, keep on posting.
I've always wanted to do a game enviroment, though I've never been quite sure on the polycounts. When is enough a enough?

thanks as for poly counts it really depends on the type of game and the engine. ie... I did a demo for a game company awhile back of a basketball facility and they wanted it under 16000 altogether but it depends on how much will be visible on screen at a time as well.

This is looking pretty cool. It's hard to crit stuff when it's early :D
Are you going to bake the shadows in (either painted or what-not?) They look a bit hard at the moment. The other thing that caught my eye is the texture on the right of the water, it is too obviously tiled.
Either than that, good stuff, and post updates

didnt get to the cement wall map and the lights are just placeholders for now but here is a little update. in the second one i plan on capping ending the road with either a park or a state building and having the canal pass underneath. I am also going to fill it with as much junk like the crane and broken billboard as i can.
